Chip (Paul) Erickson

Chip has been involved in the shopping center business since 1984, starting his career as a retail leasing broker for Grubb & Ellis Co. in the San Francisco Bay Area. From 1985 to 1990 Chip worked in a small shopping center development firm with offices in Walnut Creek and San Jose, and built 26 retail centers ranging in size from 3,000 up to 90,000 square feet. Chip's responsibilities included leasing and project management, from entitlements on through to the delivery of the space to the Tenants. From 1990 to 1995 he worked in Retail Investment Sales and as a retail leasing specialist with TRI-Oncor International in Walnut Creek, California. From 1995 to present he has worked in San Francisco as a retail/commercial property investor and developer with Arroyo & Coates and subsequently, the investment group of Sansome Pacific Properties Inc.

Chip's professional achievements include the sales and/or leasing of over 100 shopping centers and the disposition of over 100 individual bank branch properties resulting from Bank mergers and acquisitions. This commercial expertise has resulted in the ownership, redevelopment and conversion of over 70 infill retail-commercial properties throughout the State and an ability to work with his valuable consultants and County and City Government Agencies to achieve development success.

Chip is an active member of a variety of investment real estate organizations including International Council of Shopping Centers, and has completed coursework as a candidate to receive the CCIM designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.

Chip is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, with a Bachelor's degree in Business and Political Science and is a licensed Real Estate Broker.
